Inside Sales Service Engineer Location:
Houston Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Service Engineer primary responsibility is to strive to achieve quality aftermarket service in repair, sales service departments. This position must be proactive in order to achieve an effective aftermarket service and quality program.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing technical expertise, sales support, and enquiry response in the development, marketing, and execution of specialty valve project pursuit and sales proposals; engages in technical specification writing and definition Serves as an integral member of the industry team, working with ValvTechnologies' BDM's to support sales with existing customers Assists in specifying and negotiating the technical and commercial conditions of specialty valve contracts Efficient and effective program and project management of quoting sales orders, working closely with multiple stakeholders, and across geographies/time zones
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent customer-handling skills, technical sales, and peer-leadership capabilities Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, written and oral; good technical writing abilities Earns respect and credibility through strength of technical and commercial acumen and industry knowledge Ability to successfully work cross-functionally internally and externally on a global basis Handles a complexity of work demands with good judgment, responsiveness, proactivity, and accuracy Proficient in the utilization of digital sales tools, Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM), MS Office Suite specifically MS Excel, and solid experience with ERP/MRP systems
Core Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in an industry-applicable technical discipline (i.e. Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) Minimum 5 years of Aftermarket technical inside sales career experience working with specialty valves or similar engineered products Intermediate to advanced knowledge of process conditions and specialty valve applications
