The Sales Engineer serves as a vital link between the technical capabilities of the company and the needs of its customers. By leveraging technical expertise and sales acumen, the Sales Engineer drives business growth by identifying customer requirements, presenting tailored solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of Cirris custom equipment. This role is instrumental in fostering strong client relationships, enhancing customer satisfaction, and contributing to the company's reputation as a leader in the electrical manufacturing industry.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Presentations :
Explain product features and benefits to potential customers through demonstrations and presentations.
Customer Collaboration :
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored solutions.
Sales Support :
Assist the sales team in closing deals by providing technical insights and addressing customer concerns.
Product Customization :
Collaborate with engineering teams to modify products to meet specific customer requirements
Market Research :
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to provide strategic insights.
Problem-Solving :
Help clients troubleshoot and resolve issues with product usage.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Degree :
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, equivalent experience will be considered.
Certifications :
Additional certifications in sales, electrical systems, or wire harness technology are a plus.
Experience :
Proven track record in sales or engineering roles, preferably in the electrical manufacturing sector. TRAVEL Occasional travel may be necessary. This may include overnight stays and international travel up to 30% of the time.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Technical Expertise :
Proficiency in wire harness systems, electrical equipment, and related technologies.
Communication Skills :
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
Sales Acumen :
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Problem-Solving :
Analytical thinking to address customer challenges effectively.
Software Proficiency :
Familiarity with CAD tools and other engineering software. Attention to
Detail :
Precision in understanding client requirements and ensuring product quality.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical demands: Regularly lift 35 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard. Must be able to twist, reach overhead, crawl, stoop and bend to the floor. Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
Visual accommodation:
Must be able to read written materials and instructions to communicate with co-workers and customers.
Hearing accommodation:
Must be able to make and receive phone calls.
Working conditions:
Employee works in a clean environment with little exposure to fumes and dust. Work may occasionally be performed in a manufacturing type environment.
