This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to develop new business opportunities, maintain existing client relationships, and expand aftermarket services. The position requires field-based work with clients, contractors, and consulting engineers while collaborating closely with internal engineering and support teams. Capital Equipment Sales Engineer Essential Functions and Responsibilities, and Business Development Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities for steam boilers, hydronic systems, and commercial hot water equipment Conduct technical sales presentations to consulting engineers, contractors, facility managers, and end users Work with equipment manufacturers to provide technical solutions Coordinate with the internal engineering team to develop system layouts, specifications and sales proposals. Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine equipment requirements Prepare and submit competitive proposals, including technical specifications and pricing Provide technical guidance during installation and commissioning phases Develop long-term relationships with engineers, contractors, and customers Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 2 years of proven sales experience selling to commercial, industrial, or government accounts Familiarity with Boilers / HVAC systems or strong mechanical inclination Ability to work both independently and as part of a team (both leading and following) Organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills Self-motivated with strong work ethic and great people skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to travel throughout assigned territory (up to 75% travel) Flexibility and willingness to learn Pay and Benefits Base + Commission Starting pay range $70,000 401(K) & Company Match Program Profit Sharing Plan Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance PTO Paid Holidays Referral program Tuition Reimbursement Work Days Monday - Friday In the field, office days required Home residents should be within the assigned sales territory EEO Statement Delval Equipment provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
