- Position Summary
- The Field Sales Representative owns and delivers sales for their overall territory by developing relationships with Store Managers and other retail personnel to achieve directed short and long-term performance objectives.
- This role covers a Birmingham, AL territory. The candidate must live within 50 miles of Birmingham, AL.
Responsibilities:
- Sell incremental volume for display and obtain maximum support for promoted products.
- Sell promotional surveys for displays.
- Sell additional products based on opportunities observed.
- Collaborates with targeted store-level/district-level retail operations personnel to create and execute business reviews that drive volume.
- Leads expenditure of financial resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Ensures compliance to pricing guidelines at retail level.
- Reports competitive price changes and promotional support and resolves competitive pricing issues.
- Identify and correct voids and ensure new items are available.
- Merchandise products to obtain schematic compliance, pack out shelves, rotate products, handle unsellable product and resolve systemic problems related to out-of-stocks and voids.
- Develops and maintains proper relations with department/store level personnel within territory in order maximize sales results.
- Communicates market insights from the retail level to management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology or in a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of retail sales, merchandising or retail management experience of CPG products preferred, not required.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License in good standing.
- Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Must possess strong communication (oral and written), selling and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and other POS systems.
- Ability to analyze financial, inventory, retail conditions and/or other data to utilize appropriate selling techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Must be willing and able to travel.

Regular long-distance driving is expected to visit client sites, attend meetings, and support field activities. +Location Requirement:

Must be able to lift and transport promotional materials or product samples weighing up to 55 lbs +Pushing/Pulling/Bending:
May be required to set up displays or move carts during customer visits or events. +Standing/Walking:
