Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a high level of service for Cerrowire manufacturer's reps and customers. The Inside Sales Representative works hand in hand with the Sales Directors in setting levels for quotes and communicating with Reps and Customers on pricing. This role supports internal and external customers by managing quotes, negotiating pricing based on daily commodity fluctuations, processing orders, advising on lead times for quotes, and maintaining proactive communication across departments. Key to success in this position is the ability to present pricing confidently, gather and share market intelligence, and manage complex quoting scenarios. Effective Inside Sales Representatives help ensure that customer needs are met efficiently and accurately, contributing to a smooth sales and fulfillment process. The role requires continuous coordination with production, shipping, and customer service to confirm product availability and delivery timelines and serves as a central hub for ensuring details are properly tracked and communicated. This role is also a backup for Customer Service Representatives when they are out of the office.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher Minimum 3 years of experience in Inside Sales or Customer Service in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Proven attention to detail Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize and multitask effectively Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field Experience in the Electrical Industry Proficiency with Sage ERP systems
Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:
Develop a thorough understanding of Cerrowire's products, systems, and quoting processes Present pricing and manage quote creation, including complex requests, to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment Maintain ongoing communication with customers and reps regarding pricing and availability Coordinate with production and shipping departments to verify product availability and lead times Track and communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to the broader sales and management teams Monitor and process orders into the system, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date Provide backup support for team members as needed Proactively identify and resolve internal or customer-facing issues through cross-departmental coordination Maintain detailed records of communications, issues, and resolutions Skills /

High level of professionalism and customer service focus Problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate complex requests Confidence in presenting pricing and handling customer negotiations Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based sales structure
