• Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets through effective coaching and performance management.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue, improve customer engagement, and increase market share.
• Oversee store operations including inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure smooth transactions.
• Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
• Manage scheduling, shift management, and payroll processing to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills; resolve issues promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Support recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, participating in hiring decisions, and fostering a positive work environment rooted in teamwork and leadership.
• Maintain accurate inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising standards while managing shrinkage risks through vigilant supervision.
• Implement marketing initiatives within the store to promote products and special offers effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies related to cash handling, cashiering procedures, retail math accuracy, and safety protocols.
• Proven experience in retail sales management or assistant manager roles with supervising experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in recruiting, employee orientation, training & development programs.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems such as POS platforms; familiarity with purchasing processes and bookkeeping is advantageous.
• Skills in retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, and financial analysis to support store profitability.
• Leadership qualities with a focus on team management, motivation, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
• Experience with retail operations such as merchandising, stocking, cashiering, inventory control, and shift management.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence; phone etiquette is essential.
• Previous experience working in grocery stores or similar retail settings is a plus; multilingual abilities are highly valued.
