The Home Living Company designs and installs premium outdoor shading and interior window treatments for homeowners across the Bay Area. We're growing our field sales team and looking for a Neighborhood Development Specialist — someone energized by meeting people, opening doors, and turning a conversation on a doorstep into a happier home. This is a sales role, in the field. You'll work in assigned neighborhoods and community events, introducing homeowners to products that make their homes more comfortable and beautiful. Simpler products you'll close on the spot; for larger, design-driven projects, you'll qualify the opportunity and bring in one of our Design Consultants to finish the sale with you. Either way you're selling — and you're part of every deal that closes. What You'll Do Canvass assigned neighborhoods and represent us at events and in the community. Build quick, genuine rapport with homeowners. Close simpler products directly at the door. Qualify larger projects and bring in a Design Consultant to close alongside you. Generate referrals and follow up on earlier conversations. Manage your own territory and schedule using our field software. Obtain and maintain the required solicitor's / sales permit in each city you work. What We Sell Retractable awnings, exterior solar shades, rolling shutters, gutter protection, and outdoor lighting — plus custom window treatments and plantation shutters for the interior. You'll learn each line and know which can be sold on-site and which call for a Design Consultant. Who You Are Outgoing and comfortable starting conversations with strangers. Self-motivated and disciplined — you run your own day in the field. Resilient — a "no" doesn't slow you down. Coachable and eager to learn multiple product lines. Polished and professional — sharp enough to represent us anywhere, from a homeowner's doorstep to a business networking meeting. Comfortable with commission-based, performance-driven income. Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, current insurance, and a smartphone. You love to be challenged. You believe hard work is its own reward. You don't want the easy path — you want to be hardened by the challenging path. Unbridled confidence paired with a humble servant's heart. This is a high-performance role for serious salespeople — not an entry-level job. What You'll Earn Target earnings of $100,000+ per year , with strong performers reaching $200,000 . 5% commission on your sales, paid in the pay period the sale is made and the contract is signed.
