The ideal candidate can build trust with homeowners, understand their remodeling goals, explain our services clearly, follow up consistently, and guide prospective clients from their initial consultation through contract signing. Experience with drafting, space planning, interior design, construction estimating, material selections, or rendering software is highly preferred. These additional skills will help the consultant provide homeowners with a more professional, visual, and personalized customer experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome showroom visitors and create a professional, helpful first impression. Consult with homeowners regarding kitchens, bathrooms, additions, ADUs, flooring, roofing, interior remodeling, and other residential construction projects. Identify each client's priorities, budget, style preferences, expectations, and desired timeline. Explain the company's remodeling process, available services, project phases, and next steps. Qualify new leads and schedule showroom consultations, property visits, measurements, and follow-up appointments. Maintain consistent communication with new and existing leads by telephone, text message, email, and the company's CRM system. Prepare and present proposals, preliminary project information, product selections, and sales presentations. Work with management, estimators, designers, and field personnel to ensure proposals accurately reflect the client's requested scope. Assist clients with selecting materials, colors, fixtures, finishes, and layout options when appropriate. Document client conversations, requested changes, selections, concerns, and important project details accurately. Follow up on open estimates and overcome customer concerns professionally without using high-pressure or misleading sales tactics. Meet individual and company sales goals while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Support an organized, attractive, and client-ready showroom environment. Participate in occasional property visits, networking activities, home shows, or company events.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least two years of consultative, retail, showroom, home-improvement, construction, or high-ticket sales experience is preferred. Ability to understand a homeowner's needs and translate them into clear project recommendations. Professional appearance and a customer-service-oriented attitude. Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills. Comfortable working with computers, email, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital presentations. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the office, design, estimating, and construction teams.
