ABOUT SOL
É SHADES Solé Shades is a luxury, female-owned manufacturer and designer of hand-crafted custom window coverings, drapery, roller shades, hardware, motorized shading systems, and wall coverings. From our Fountain Valley workroom, we partner with interior designers, builders, architects, and discerning homeowners across Southern California to deliver exceptional products and white-glove service from first consultation through final installation. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Sales Representative with hands-on window coverings experience who enjoys working directly with designers and clients across the full arc of a custom project.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Sales Representative supports our sales team in both selling and delivering custom window covering projects. The role blends client consultation and design-trade relationship building with the hands-on project coordination that follows a sale: field measuring, proposal preparation, order processing, and follow-through to installation. This role requires prior experience in the window coverings industry. You should already be comfortable with custom shade and drapery terminology, product specification, and the measuring standards the trade depends on. This is a strong fit for someone with industry experience who wants real ownership of client relationships and a clear path toward a full-cycle Sales Representative role. The position is based at our Fountain Valley office and is approximately 50% office and 50% field, with regular travel to residential and commercial job sites throughout Southern California, and occasional time at our Costa Mesa showroom.
RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior window coverings industry experience is required — sales, project coordination, measuring, fabrication, or installation Working knowledge of custom window treatments, including shades, drapery, hardware, and motorization 2+ years of sales, account management, project coordination, or other client-facing experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, personable presence aligned with a luxury brand environment Strong organizational and time management abilities; comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines at once High attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated and comfortable balancing inbound client activity with proactive outreach Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Valid California driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience measuring for custom window coverings Familiarity with motorization systems such as Somfy or Lutron Reading and interpreting architectural plans and elevations Proposal writing or estimating experience An existing network within the design, construction, or luxury residential space Customer service experience on luxury residential projects
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
