Design & Sales Consultant 405 Cabinets & Stone | Fountain Valley, CA Full-Time | On-Site Showroom $50,000-$70,000 Base Salary

+ Substantial Commission

+ Impressive Benefits Who We Are For over two decades, we have designed, manufactured, and supplied residential and commercial cabinetry and home improvement products throughout Southern California and across the country. We are known for quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a customer-first approach, delivering premium kitchen, bath, and home solutions for contractors, builders, architects, interior designers, and homeowners. Culture is our core strength. Our team works in a supportive, friendly, and respectful environment with hands-on leadership, empathetic communication, and a strong sense of pride in the work. We value long-term careers, dependability, and collaboration. Free lunches are provided daily, reflecting our family-oriented, people-first workplace. About the Opportunity The kitchens and baths you design become the backdrop of people's lives: morning coffee, family dinners, holidays together. We are looking for aspirational individuals with a passion for creative design and consultative selling, and a genuine desire to help customers create beautiful, functional spaces. As a Design & Sales Consultant, you are the customer's guide, designer, and trusted advisor. You will welcome customers into the showroom, understand how they live and what they want to achieve, and use 2020 Design to create spaces with exceptional functionality, distinctive features, and refined beauty. You will clearly explain products and their benefits so customers can make confident decisions. We provide foundational training and resources, and we look for people who are proactive, curious, and self-driven, take ownership of their growth, and enjoy adding value to customers' living spaces. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and support customers throughout the design and sales process.
  • Guide customers through cabinet styles, finishes, countertops, hardware, and customization options.
  • Learn and use 2020 Design software to create accurate, functional, and beautiful kitchen, bath, and cabinetry designs, elevations, renderings, and presentations.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and pricing.
  • Manage leads, follow up consistently, and convert opportunities into sales.
  • Build long-term relationships with homeowners, contractors, designers, architects, and repeat customers.
  • Coordinate project details accurately with the Operations, Warehouse, Customization, and Installation teams.
  • Deliver a professional, heartfelt, and high-touch customer experience.
  • Maintain complete customer and project information in the CRM/ERP system. What Excellent Looks Like in This Role
  • Customers leave your first meeting feeling heard, understood, and excited about what their space could become, and they return to you as their trusted destination for final decisions.
  • Your designs win customers over and are accurate, functional, and practical to install, with details the installation team can rely on.
  • Customers and trade partners come back to you because they trust your advice and you treat them with respect, kindness, and the utmost care.
  • You do not wait to be told. When you do not know something, you research and learn, take initiative, find solutions, and come back with the answer.
  • Teammates enjoy working with you because you share what you know, lend a hand, and own your work.
  • You consistently invest in yourself to become exceptionally good at what you do, helping transform ordinary houses into cherished living spaces that people love coming home to. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or strong background in interior design, architecture, or engineering.
  • A genuine passion for design, homes, and creating beautiful, functional living spaces.
  • Self-motivated and proactive: you ask questions, find solutions, practice, and continuously grow.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong sales drive, with consistent follow-up, relationship-building, and closing ability.
  • Reliable, accurate, detail-oriented, accountable, and energized by a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Solid computer skills: competent with email, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (Word, Excel, Gmail), and online research, with the ability to learn new software such as 2020 Design through tutorials and practice.
  • English proficiency required.
  • Saturday availability required. Preferred Experience
  • Experience in cabinetry, kitchen design, interior design, sales, retail, hospitality, construction, or customer service is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with 2020 Design, AutoCAD, SketchUp, other design software, or CRM/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Bilingual ability in a language such as Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, or Japanese is also a plus. Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary ($50,000 to $70,000, based on experience).
  • Substantial commission opportunities that reward performance.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
  • Company-sponsored employee lunch program.
  • Employee discount.
  • Paid foundational training, plus in-depth weekly training and team building.
  • Long-term career growth opportunities within a stable, reputable company.
