Our team brings more than 25 years of combined hands-on design and construction experience , managing projects from initial consultation and planning through design, estimating, permitting, construction, coordination, and final quality review. Our work includes residential and commercial construction and remodeling, kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations, additions, tenant and commercial improvements, flooring, framing, and coordinated electrical, plumbing, and HVAC scopes. Role Description Bud Remodeling is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant — Construction & Remodeling to manage qualified residential and commercial opportunities from initial consultation through signed agreement and collection of the required initial deposit. This is a commission-based contract opportunity serving clients throughout Orange County. The Sales Consultant will meet directly with prospective clients, understand their construction or remodeling needs, project goals, priorities, budgets, timelines, and expectations, and guide them professionally through the complete sales process. This is not an appointment-setting or entry-level sales position . We are looking for a proven closer who can take ownership of opportunities from the first consultation through the completed sale. The successful candidate must be able to build trust with clients, communicate construction solutions clearly, prepare and review proposals, maintain disciplined follow-up, negotiate professionally, close qualified opportunities, accurately complete contracts and required paperwork, obtain customer deposits, and coordinate a complete handoff to the production and operations teams. Bud Remodeling provides sales opportunities, but the Sales Consultant must also be capable of generating additional business through referrals, networking, prospecting, relationship development, and independent lead-generation efforts . Responsibilities Conduct professional consultations and site meetings with residential and commercial prospective clients throughout Orange County. Understand each client's construction or remodeling goals, priorities, scope, budget, timeline, and expectations. Qualify incoming opportunities and determine project fit. Gather the information necessary to develop accurate proposals and scopes of work. Prepare, review, edit, and proofread customer-facing proposals and sales documents. Clearly present project scope, pricing, payment terms, exclusions, timelines, and expectations. Maintain disciplined and professional follow-up throughout the sales process. Build strong relationships with homeowners, business owners, property representatives, and other project decision-makers. Address client questions and objections professionally. Negotiate within approved company guidelines. Close qualified construction and remodeling opportunities. Prepare and carefully review contracts before execution. Ensure required signatures, documentation, disclosures, and sales paperwork are complete and accurate. Obtain the required initial customer deposit in accordance with company procedures. Maintain accurate records of leads, appointments, communications, proposals, follow-up activity, and sales status. Coordinate a complete and accurate handoff of sold projects to the design, production, and operations teams. Develop additional sales opportunities through referrals, networking, prospecting, strategic relationships, and independent business development. Qualifications 3+ years of successful sales experience , preferably in construction, remodeling, home improvement, commercial construction services, or another consultative high-value sales environment. Proven ability to close substantial projects, contracts, or service agreements. Strong consultative selling, presentation, negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills. Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with homeowners, business owners, property representatives, and other decision-makers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong ability to prepare, review, edit, and proofread proposals, contracts, scopes of work, and customer documentation. Strong attention to detail when handling pricing, agreements, documentation, and paperwork. Excellent organization, follow-up, and pipeline-management discipline. Ability to independently manage multiple active sales opportunities. Self-motivated and accountable for moving opportunities through the sales process. Comfortable generating personal leads and referral business in addition to company-provided opportunities. Comfortable using CRM, email, calendar, estimating, proposal, and sales-tracking tools. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to attend client meetings and project sites throughout Orange County. Experience in residential or commercial construction and remodeling, general contracting, roofing, windows and doors, HVAC, flooring, landscaping, building services, or other construction-related sales is strongly preferred. Compensation This is a commission-based contract opportunity . Compensation is tied to successfully sold business. Commission calculations, eligibility requirements, payment timing, customer-payment requirements, cancellations, change orders, self-generated opportunities, and related terms are defined in the written commission agreement provided as part of the engagement.
