(k) 401(k) matching Bonus based on performance Dental insurance Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Vision insurance Position Summary Marina Mechanical Services is seeking a highly motivated and technical HVAC Special Projects Coordinator and Inside Sales Specialist to oversee the successful execution of unique mechanical retrofits and tenant improvement projects. In this hybrid position, you will serve as the primary leader for ongoing construction projects while acting as an inside sales representative to identify, price, and close equipment or repair recommendations uncovered during field operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Coordination Project Lifecycle Oversight:
Manage HVAC special projects from initial scope development and estimation to final closeout and warranty handoff.
Budget & Schedule Management:
Create detailed work plans, manage material purchasing, track labor utilization, and maintain accurate cost projections.
Resource Allocation:
Coordinate with field technicians, subcontractors, and internal engineering departments to ensure seamless installation sequencing.
Client & Site Meetings:
Assist with on-site meetings with building owners; anticipate issues and provide constructability recommendations.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all special projects meet design specifications, energy performance targets, permitting and strict job site safety standards.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Inside Sales & Repairs Consultative Selling:
Review technician recommended repairs to formulate technical solutions and repair quotes for existing clients.
Proposal Generation:
Utilize manufacturer and vendor pricing to prepare timely, accurate estimates and sales proposals for recommended component upgrades.
Account Management:
Proactively follow up on generated sales leads and project inquiries.
Sales Targets:
Meet or exceed established revenue and profit margin goals for in-house service and retrofit sales.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience.
Experience:
3-5+ years of combined experience in commercial HVAC project management, estimating, or inside sales.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, project schedules, and blueprint reading and permit processing.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication, customer service, and negotiation skills
