o Go above and beyond for clients o Foster a supportive and empowering environment for associates o Deeply invest in the well-being of our local community Position Overview The Senior SBA Comm'l Business Development Officer is responsible for originating high-quality SBA 7(a) loans and driving significant loan volume and revenue growth, with emphasis on loans structured for secondary market execution. This position is highly market-facing and production-driven, focusing on business development, complex deal structuring, and referral network expansion. Portfolio management responsibilities are minimal, with ownership primarily concluding at loan closing and transition to relationship management teams. Key Responsibilities Originate SBA 7(a) loans to meet or exceed top-tier annual production targets Develop and maintain referral networks including business brokers, CPAs, attorneys, and commercial real estate professionals Proactively source SBA loan opportunities primarily within the Bank's geographic footprint SBA structure loans to maximize premium and salability in the secondary market Analyze borrower financials, cash flow, collateral, and repayment capacity Pre-screen and package transactions for efficient underwriting review and approval Recommend loan structure, terms, and conditions to appropriate lending authority Serve as the primary client advisor from origination through closing Identify and cross-sell appropriate lending, deposit, and treasury solutions Partner with underwriting, closing, and portfolio teams to ensure efficient deal execution Transition of closed relationships to CRM/SBA portfolio team with minimal ongoing servicing responsibility Mentor junior business development officers and contribute to SBA growth strategy Represent the Bank in industry and community events to build referral channels Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and ensure efficient deal conversion Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of SBA and/or commercial lending production experience Proven ability to generate high-volume SBA loan production Strong knowledge of SBA 7(a) program requirements, eligibility, and structuring Advanced credit analysis and loan structuring skills Demonstrated success in business development, sales, and referral network building Working knowledge of commercial banking products including deposits and treasury services Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems What Makes Fremont Bank Associates Thrive? Salary Range The hiring salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually, based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made in consideration of these factors and in alignment with Fremont Bank's compensation philosophy.
