ATRIUM DESIGN CENTER
located on one of Southern California's most highly traveled routes. Our vision is simple; to have all aspects of home remodeling at consumers fingertips all under one roof. We are a full kitchen and bathroom design and construction firm and carry Poggenpohl, Dura Supreme, Bellmont, Medallion and Envoy cabinetry. We have over 10 full kitchens and bathrooms on display with more coming soon. Position Overview We are seeking a Design Sales Consultant who excels at building trust, inspiring clients, and closing sales . This role is sales-driven and client-facing , with a strong focus on material selection and client confidence , not technical kitchen drafting. You will be fully supported by a team of professional designers who handle detailed layouts, drawings, and technical design. Your primary responsibility is to engage clients, guide them through material selections, and help them fall in love with the final vision — and move forward with the sale of project . Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the showroom experience Build strong rapport and trust with clients from the first consultation Understand client goals, style preferences, and budget Confidently guide clients through cabinetry, countertops, finishes, colors, and materials Inspire confidence in design decisions and help clients commit to selections Drive sales by presenting cohesive material solutions that align with client vision Collaborate closely with the in-house design team for technical execution Coordinate selections and ensure a smooth handoff to designers and project teams Deliver a polished, high-end customer experience from start to sale Required Skills & Experience Background in interior design Ability to confidently guide clients toward decisions and close sales Proven experience in sales , preferably in interior design, home improvement, or luxury retail Strong design sensibility and eye for color, materials, and finishes Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Comfortable working in a goal-driven, commission or performance-based environment (if applicable) Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Preferred (Not Required) Background in kitchen & bath design and sales Knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, or finishes Experience working alongside designers, architects, or contractors What Makes This Role Unique You are not responsible for technical kitchen design or drawings A full design team supports you with layouts, plans, and specifications Your focus is on client engagement, material selection, and sales success Work in a beautiful, design-forward showroom with high-quality products Why Join South Bay Design Center?
