Job Summary This is a hourly plus commission position selling Doors, Windows, Moulding and other building material. The Inside Sales Representative provides professional sales support to contractors, homeowners, and showroom visitors. This is a customer-facing sales role that requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. This role is responsible for managing customer interactions, generating sales opportunities, and assisting customers through the quoting and purchasing process. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented sales professional who is comfortable managing a diverse pipeline, from fielding product questions over the phone to sitting down with a contractor to walk through a full project proposal. This person thrives in a showroom environment, takes pride in their product knowledge, and understands that consistent follow-up is what turns quotes into orders. Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming phone calls, provide product information, pricing, and assistance to customers in a professional and timely manner. Enter customer order details into the QuickBooks Online (QBO) system and review order details to ensure accuracy. Follow company procedures for QBO entries, including creating invoices only after orders are finalized and approved. Coordinate with warehouse staff and vendors to confirm product availability and delivery timelines. Close sales by assisting customers through the purchasing process and confirming order details. Maintain ongoing communication with customers to support current and future projects. Send emails and outreach communications to generate new business opportunities and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and homeowners. Provide a high level of customer service while representing the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods accurately. Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized sales counter and assist with basic showroom upkeep, product displays, and sample organization. Follow company policies and procedures, hygiene standards, and safety guidelines. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support business operations and customer service needs. Experience Greet and assist walk-in customers in the showroom, helping them understand available products and guiding them toward appropriate solutions. Meet with contractors and homeowners by scheduled appointment to discuss project needs, product options, and pricing. Gather necessary project details and customer requirements to prepare accurate quotes and proposals. Prepare and present quotes and proposals for windows, doors, molding, and related products. Assist customers in selecting appropriate products while advising that final measurements and installation specifications must be verified by the customer or contractor before the order is finalized. Follow up with customers regarding quotes and proposals to help move projects forward. Proven success in B2B sales, particularly within the building materials or construction industry. Demonstrated experience with inside sales techniques including cold calling, prospecting, lead generation, and deal closing. Strong knowledge of CRM software systems such as Salesforce or equivalent for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines. Technical sales experience involving building products or related technology solutions is highly desirable. Familiarity with territory management, account management, and customer relationship building strategies. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with clients remotely or in person. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on achieving measurable sales targets. Ability to analyze market data and adapt strategies accordingly for optimal results. Prior experience using sales management systems for tracking performance metrics and generating reports is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, retail sales, or customer service. Demonstrated ability to close sales and manage a customer pipeline from inquiry to purchase. Strong verbal communication skills. Comfortable on the phone and confident in face-to-face sales conversations. Detail-oriented with the ability to prepare accurate quotes and proposals. Preferred Experience in building products, construction supply, or home improvement strongly preferred. Experience with CRM software or customer tracking systems

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be available to work full-time 7:30am-4pm Monday to Friday in the company showroom environment.
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
