Construction / Public Works Position Summary A growing construction organization is seeking a Business Development & Operations Coordinator to support business growth, project pursuits, office operations, and administrative functions. This is a highly visible role that combines business development, project coordination, office management, and HR support within a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Business Development Identify and pursue new project opportunities, with a focus on Public Works projects. Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, agencies, and industry partners. Assist with proposal preparation, bid submissions, and project pursuit activities. Support growth initiatives across public and private sector construction projects. Attend meetings, site visits, and networking events to develop new business opportunities. Operations & Office Coordination Oversee daily office operations and administrative activities. Coordinate schedules, meetings, correspondence, and project documentation. Maintain organized records and support communication between departments. Track deadlines and provide updates to leadership on key initiatives. Project & HR Support Assist with onboarding, employee records, and training coordination. Support compliance, certifications, and safety documentation. Help maintain organized project and administrative workflows. Contribute to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications 2+ years of recent construction industry experience required. Public Works experience strongly preferred. Experience in business development, project coordination, office administration, or operations. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of HR processes and compliance is a plus. Ability to travel locally for meetings and project opportunities.
