Commercial Fire Safety Sales Representative

Job Description Insight Global is seeking an experienced Commercial Fire Safety Sales Representative in the Orange County, CA area to support the growth of their client's fire alarm and life safety business. This role focuses on selling, designing, and upgrading commercial fire alarm systems while managing relationships with existing customers, general contractors, and new prospects. This person will be responsible for driving commercial fire alarm sales while serving as a technical resource throughout the full customer lifecycle. The Sales Representative will manage and grow relationships with existing commercial customers by identifying upgrade, retrofit, expansion, and relocation opportunities, while also pursuing new business through cold calling, prospecting, and relationship building with building owners, property managers, and facility teams. The role includes responding to bid requests from general contractors and participating in competitive bidding processes, with an expectation to be customer facing onsite at least three days per week. In addition to sales responsibilities, the position involves designing commercial fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA 72, local codes, and AHJ requirements; preparing and reviewing system submittals, drawings, and technical documentation; and supporting customers through plan reviews, redesigns, and system upgrades. The individual will manage inbound leads from existing customers requiring improvements or add ons, develop pricing and proposals using internal quoting tools such as NetSuite (preferred), and track opportunities and customer interactions within a CRM system.
