Sales Position Overview:
We are seeking an outgoing and customer-focused Pop-Up Event Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at Pet Wants Riverside. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, enthusiastic about pets, possess strong sales experience with excellent communication skills, and have a strong desire to assist customers in finding the best products for their pets. This role will involve engaging with customers, providing product recommendations, restocking, cashier, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store and Pop-up community events environment. This position includes the ability to work at multi-locations, primarily at Pop-up events.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Educate customers about our products, including their ingredients, benefits, and usage. Listen to customer needs and preferences to recommend appropriate products. Operate cash register and process transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including shelving, displays, and inventory. Receive and stock merchandise, ensuring products are properly labeled and displayed. Subject to lifting up to 40+ lbs. and standing, stooping, bending, and walking for long periods of time. Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management. Uphold company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines inside and outside the store. Continuously strive to meet sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store. Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts. Help create content for social media post to increase our exposure. Fulfill online orders and curbside pick-up. Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients in a safe, timely manner. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Setup and tear down of 10'x10' Pop-up community events
Qualifications:
Passionate about pets and their well-being. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus with the ability to engage and assist customers effectively. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude. Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register. Prior sales experience is required. Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Flexible to attend multi-location pop-up vendor market events, driving materials to event locations, set-up/break-down, managing the booth at events. Must be over 21 years old. Must posses a valid California Class -C Driver's license. Must have reliable transportation. Delivery of products to customers for online orders.
