Located in Shasta Lake City, we produce a wide variety of processed meat products in-house for distribution along the west coast and beyond. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing existing accounts within your designated territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, with a proven track record in B2B sales and account management. You will leverage your skills in negotiation, lead generation, and customer service to drive sales growth and enhance client relationships. Additionally, you will hold administrative office responsibilities including but not limited to, order entry and invoicing, inventory management, data entry and customer relations. We are looking for someone with a positive outgoing attitude with attention to detail and a drive to assist us in growing our customer network. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients through effective territory management. Conduct cold calling and outreach to generate new leads and opportunities for business development. Learn the various products offered or available substitutions and match those products to local businesses/accounts and potential customers. Upsell additional products or services to existing clients to maximize account potential. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth within the territory. Prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts for management review. Attend Food shows and events to network with buyers and represent our brand. Enter orders in database system for them to be filled in the warehouse. Take phone calls and will call orders; providing frontline customer service in the office. Communicating with existing customers for weekly orders and invoice inquiries. Skills Proven experience in outside sales. Strong understanding of account management principles and techniques. General Computer literacy with proficiency in programs like excel, teams, outlook etc. Negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively. Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and customer needs. Experience in conducting product demos that engage potential customers. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment. An upbeat energetic attitude and willingness to learn Experience in the meat industry or grocery sales is encouraged but not required.
