About NASAM, an AllClear Subsidiary NASAM is a leading distributor of High-Reliability (Hi-Rel) electronic components and systems for the global space and defense industries, supporting satellite primes, subcontractors, defense system integrators, launch providers, government and research organizations, New Space startups, and university programs. To learn more visit www.nasam.com Summary The Customer Account Manager manages and is assigned sales projects, including selling, purchasing, and marketing activities for key accounts. The role mainly supports Classic space ("Old space") customers including the direct accounts and is primarily supplier-facing sales resource, serving as a liaison of customers and NASAM Japan sales team for collecting, communicating, and supporting the technology & product related information based on the program related customer technical and commercial requirements, etc. This position has wide and flexible support range such as quotation support during busy business period and assistance for the opportunities across key accounts. Core responsibilities include MIL-spec research, SCD review, supplier communication for technical issue resolution, lead-time management, and reconciliation of product failure/issues, requiring the development of the expertise of Classic space requirements. The role works closely with Business Development, Quality Assurance, and Finance to achieve NASAM sales objectives and supports high-reliability electronic component products for space applications, with additional responsibilities assigned as business needs evolve. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned. Manage daily sales operations for assigned high-reliability component and module suppliers, including customer quotations, claims handling, order processing, shipment coordination, purchase orders, and export license applications for Japan-based customers. Identify, report, and resolve order fulfillment discrepancies in accordance with management guidelines Identify, develop, and promote new business opportunities through market evaluation and customer engagement. Proactively create demand by gaining a thorough understanding of customer requirements, applications, and pain points. Develop and execute marketing and business plans for customers and suppliers, including strategic pricing, contract negotiations, new business development, ongoing commercial negotiations, and agreement formulation in alignment with management direction Manage sales forecasts, budgets, market analysis, product positioning, and product launch activities, with a focus on the Japan aerospace and high-reliability electronics markets Coordinate domestic and international business travel and meetings, including preparation of agendas, documentation of meeting minutes, and follow-up on strategic action items Prepare and submit regular reports to management, including monthly sales forecasts and annual business plans (or more frequent updates as required) Supervisory Responsibilities There will be no supervisory responsibilities immediately required for this position at the time of hiring though it will be considered afterwards based on the management capability, skill set and mind of candidate. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required Minimum 5+ years Sales and Marketing experience of electronic components or modules in Japanese market Space or Aerospace industry sales experience is a plus Japanese trading firm working experience (import/export) is a plus Familiarity with MIL-Spec is a plus Experience with customers in electronic components parts sales and/or international sales and marketing are a plus Electronic component engineering background is a plus Technical Skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Access) Experience with ERP highly desired - Salesforce, Quantum a plus Language Skill Native/Business level writing & speaking in Japanese a plus Native/Business level writing & speaking in English Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Physical Demands Customary physical demands for office environment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Work Environment Traditional office environment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Travel Up to 20% of time
