Full Job Description Position Information:

Promotes and sells company products through direct customer contacts within assigned geographic region. Plans and organizes work, schedules sales calls and submits reports of sales activities. Provides customers with price quotations and information regarding delivery and service. Identifies prospective customers and compiles information on competitive products. Develops and contributes to sales and relationship strategy for maximizing revenue and profitability from sales accounts.

Essential Position Functions:

Responsible for all sales functions for assigned region(s) or customers Ongoing development of existing and prospective Alpine customers to ensure targets are met Scheduling onsite meetings with current customers to maintain accounts Provide quotes to customers with follow up Respond to requests for production information Schedule and maintain sales orders Order processing and expediting Notify customers of shorts on orders and backorders Multiple reports to corporate managers/officers Conducts product demonstrations and promotional activities Develops sales strategies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Effective time management and problem-solving skills Effective organizational and multi-tasking abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-starter and able to effectively as part of a team Knowledge of food sales/distribution industry Communication with Supervisors, Peers, Vendors and Customers Ability to work remotely with little to no supervision Confident and motivated disposition High attention to detail and follow through Ability to successfully establish rapport with established accounts Ability to successfully resolve customer conflict

Education & Experience:

5+ years outside sales experience Clean driving record Microsoft Office Suite proficient, ie: Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point, etc. 3-5 years' experience in Food Sales/Distribution industry Special Skills (if applicable): Desire to contribute to a positive culture and be a member of a cohesive team. Desire to learn and advance Drive to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers Able to work in a fast-paced, often pressured, environment Flexible - able to manage constant interruptions, changing schedules and tasks Patience and empathy for customer and team needs

Physical Demands:

Sedentary position consisting of driving and travel. Occasionally lift up to 20+ lbs.

Work Environment:

Work performed in home office or customer site, managing frequent distractions. Environment changes with travel requirements.

Supervision:

This position has no direct Supervisory responsibility. This position may guide the work of others who perform similar work. May organize, set priorities, schedule and review work, but has no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance or make pay decisions. This position receives Supervision depending upon the assignment. In some cases, Supervisor outlines steps involved in completing assignments or standard procedures are available to enable the employee to work in a routine fashion. The end results of this work are monitored and tracked.
