Job Description
Outside Sales Representative Hilltop Contracting Aurora, CO Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $250,000 a year 2 hours ago Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Customer communication Customer relationship building Outdoor work Driver's License Contracts Full Job Description The Role Field sales, not a desk job. You'll meet homeowners at their properties, walk roofs with insurance adjusters to lock in scope, and close contracts. Once a signed job hits the handoff milestone, you turn it over to our production team — you don't manage trades, order materials, or run jobsites. Your job is to sell. Compensation W2 employee (not 1099) Tiered commission structure based on total cumulative sales — no resets Additional 1% of contract value on every self-generated lead, stacked on top of your tier rate You earn commission on what you turn in: the signed contract value for the trades Hilltop performs. Office handles supplementing after handoff. Uncapped earnings What You Can Expect to Earn Your earnings depend on two things — your effort and the weather. We can't control the weather, but we can control the structure: competitive tiered commission, a permanent ladder with no resets, and an extra 1% on every self-generated lead. We'll give you real numbers in the interview so you can decide if this is the right fit. What We Provide Company cell phone Ladder and basic field equipment Colorado FAMLI participation, with Hilltop covering the employee premium share What You'll Do Meet homeowners on-site to assess damage and pitch scope Coordinate with insurance adjusters to agree on scope of work Get contracts signed and handed off to operations What We're Looking For Strong communication skills — comfortable having real conversations with homeowners and explaining what we do and why it matters Able to work with insurance adjusters professionally — articulate your position on scope, and listen when it matters Knowledgeable (or willing to become knowledgeable) about our services and the work we offer Comfortable working outdoors year-round, weather dependent Self-motivated — this role rewards hustle, not seat time Reliable transportation and valid driver's license We'd rather hire the right person and train them than hire the wrong person with a sales background. If you've never done sales but have strong communication skills and the drive to learn, we want to talk to you. Is This the Right Fit For You? You're motivated by what you produce, not what you're handed You're comfortable with income that varies based on your effort You enjoy meeting new people and building real relationships You'd rather be in the field than behind a desk You take ownership — when you close a deal, you own the win; when you miss, you own that too This role is probably not for you if: You need a guaranteed paycheck regardless of what you produce You prefer a structured 9-to-5 schedule You take "no" personally — sometimes an adjuster won't agree with your scope, and we need you to stay professional, stay factual, document your position, and move on without making it personal You don't like working outside or being on the move To Apply Click "" to submit your resume and answer a few quick screening questions. We review every application and will reach out to candidates who match what we're looking for.
