Job Description
Starting Strength Centennial is hiring a part-time consultative salesperson across our two Austin gyms: 26 paid hours a week on a set schedule built around the peak booking hours. You run our free 30-minute sessions, listen to what the Guest wants, and recommend strength training if it's the right solution for their problem. No cold calling. We had over 400 free session bookings across both gyms in the first half of 2026. Pay is $30 per hour plus $100 for every new Member you sign, earned once their second full-priced month bills. The sign-up bonus doubles to $200 each in months with 20 or more sign-ups.
Low-end:
$58,500 a year at 15 new Members per month.High-end:
$112,500 at 30 new Members per month. Consistently sign up 25 or more Members per month and total annual pay surpasses $100,000, for a part-time job. Your role is to treat our Guests with care and kindness and to determine if you can help them solve a problem they've already identified and are motivated to resolve. This is not a place for high-pressure, predatory sales pressure or annoying follow-up tactics; our business exists to help people live a better life and we treat everyone like extended family. What You'll Do- Run free 30-minute sessions at both Austin gyms, the Guest's entry-point to the gym.
- Have a discovery conversation with each Guest, demonstrate coaching the deadlift, and present a tailored solution along with recommended next steps.
- Split the front desk with our Service Lead so every inquiry gets a same-day answer.
- Manage the CRM and follow-up with Leads, former Guests, and Members.
- Assist with coaching group training sessions, as needed.
- Assist with operations work, as needed. Pay and Schedule
- $30 per hour, 28 hours per week. The draft schedule, subject to change: Tuesday 7:00a-2:30p Wednesday 4:00p-8:00p Thursday 4:00p-8:00p Friday 7:00a-2:30p Saturday 8:30a-3:00p The 7.5-hour shifts include an unpaid 30-minute meal break.
- The gyms: West Anderson, 2943 W Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78757, and Sunset Valley, 4970 US-290 W Suite 410, Austin, TX 78735.
- Training is paid at $30 per hour and runs 30 or more hours a week for 2-6 weeks, depending on your level of experience with barbell strength-training
- Your first month's bonus is guaranteed at the baseline level, $1,500.
- $100 for every new Member you sign, earned when that Member is billed for their second full-priced month. Sign 20 or more in a calendar month and every one of them pays $200 instead. No cap.
- The math: base pay is about $43,680 a year.
With bonuses:
about $61,500 at the baseline of 15 new Members a month, $91,500 at 20 Members per month, and $115,500 at 30 new Members per month.- A free $495 per month membership. Experience our best-in-industry results for yourself.
