Role:
We are seeking a motivated, creative, and highly organized Marketing & Business Development Associate to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing multiple priorities, and has a passion for strategic storytelling, proposal coordination, branding, and business development support within the construction and design industry. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating proposals from opportunity analysis through final delivery, supporting marketing initiatives, creating compelling content and graphics, coordinating events, and helping communicate the company's projects and culture across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong writing and design skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with teams across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Coordination & Delivery:
Coordinate and support complex proposal responses including RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, and interview materials. Review proposal requirements and develop organized, compliant proposal structures and schedules. Manage proposal workflows, timelines, assignments, and deadlines using proposal management tools and Adobe InDesign. Collaborate with technical teams to gather and synthesize content into compelling, client-focused narratives. Create visually engaging proposal graphics, charts, tables, and layouts. Coordinate interview preparation meetings and presentation materials for pursuit teams. Facilitate communication between internal teams and external clients regarding proposal updates and requirements. Participate in client debriefs and maintain pursuit information within CRM systems.
Marketing & Content Development:
Develop and maintain marketing collateral including project sheets, resumes, references, photography, brochures, and presentations. Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, press releases, award submissions, and company websites. Maintain and update CRM databases and marketing information systems. Support website content management through WordPress. Design project branding materials including signage, fence screens, and hard hat stickers. Ensure all marketing materials align with company branding and quality standards.
Events & Business Development Support:
Coordinate company events including ribbon cuttings, topping out ceremonies, grand openings, trade shows, and conferences. Assist with conference booth coordination and event logistics. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, trade partners, and industry professionals. Support the Preconstruction team with bid compilation and submission efforts. Contribute wherever needed in a collaborative, "all hands on deck" environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field 1-3 years of relevant marketing, proposal coordination, or business development experience Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe InDesign and Photoshop Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with WordPress and CRM platforms Exceptional writing, editing, graphic design, and layout abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, resourceful, adaptable, and detail-oriented Ability to work in-person at the Thornton office
