This is not a passive cashier or booth attendant role. We want someone who enjoys engaging customers, asking for the sale, increasing average ticket size, building repeat buyers, and representing our farm with professionalism and energy. What You'll Do Sell products at farmers' markets and community events Greet customers and confidently start conversations Recommend products, answer questions, and upsell Build repeat business through strong customer relationships Set up and maintain an attractive, organized booth Process cash and card transactions accurately Help load, unload, and transport products and display materials Follow food safety and product handling procedures Report sales totals and market feedback after each event Schedule Must be available every Friday and Saturday Seasonal commitment from mid-May through November Additional Thursday and Sunday opportunities may become available What We're Looking For Sales, retail, customer service, or direct-to-consumer experience preferred Friendly, confident communicator who likes talking with people Comfortable asking for the sale and promoting products Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Able to stand for long periods and lift 40-50 lbs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Passion for local food, farming, and customer experience Pay & Perks $17.50-$20.00/hour based on experience 4% commission on gross sales after $700 per market day Mileage reimbursement: $0.67/mile round trip Weekly pay Paid for prep, travel, setup, sales, breakdown, and cleanup Employee food program Employee discount Advancement opportunities for top performers About Steadfast Farms Steadfast Farms is a veteran-owned, award-winning farm committed to ethical, regenerative agriculture and high-quality food.
