Position Summary:
The HVAC Construction Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, developers, and building owners to drive profitable HVAC & plumbing construction projects. This mid-level role focuses on project-based sales, territory growth, and long-term account management while collaborating with estimating, engineering, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development :
Identify, pursue, and close HVAC & plumbing construction opportunities within an assigned territory. Develop new contractor and GC relationships while expanding existing accounts. Track projects through planning, bidding, and award phases using a CRM software.
Project & Bid Management :
Support bid and proposal development with estimating and engineering teams. Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work. Assist with pricing strategy and negotiations.
Relationship Management :
Serve as primary point of contact for customers. Build long-term trust with decision-makers.
Cross-Functional Coordination :
Coordinate with project managers and operations for smooth handoff. Communicate schedules, scope, and expectations.
Sales Administration :
Maintain CRM records and sales forecasts. Meet assigned revenue and margin targets.
Required Qualifications:
3-7 years of HVAC or mechanical construction sales experience. Strong knowledge of HVAC & plumbing systems and construction workflows. Experience with construction drawings and bid processes. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling to mechanical contractors or GCs. Familiarity with CRM platforms. Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or Construction Management.
