Job Overview We are seeking a sophisticated, high-performing part-time Patient Consultant to drive growth and clinical excellence at our premier plastic surgery practice in Westport, CT. This is not merely an administrative role; it is a sales-focused position designed for a professional who excels at the "art of the close" within a luxury medical environment. The ideal candidate will act as the primary bridge between clinical education and practice revenue. You will be responsible for the entire patient lifecycle, from the first inquiry to the final surgical booking. Your mission is to transform interest into commitment by masterfully articulating the value of our procedures, overcoming financial objections, and providing a white-glove consultative experience that inspires confidence and secures surgical dates. As a crucial part of the consultation, you will leverage an analytical mindset to manage the surgical pipeline, ensuring that the physician's schedule is optimized and that no lead remains stagnant. We are looking for a closer who is passionate about aesthetics, disciplined in their follow-up, and dedicated to nurturing long-term client relationships that yield consistent referrals and reviews.
Responsibilities Patient Inquiry & Clinical Education Lead Management:
Respond to incoming new patient inquiries and qualify potential for procedure booking.
Data Entry:
Add new inquiries to NexTech software and maintain the practice email list.
Patient Education:
Educate patients about surgical/nonsurgical options during phone inquiries and in-office consultations.
Consultation Support:
Review consultative data with the physician and master the consultation process to facilitate a commitment to proceed.
Financial Coordination Pricing & Commitments:
Discuss surgery costs with patients at consultation and facilitate the commitment to move forward.
Financing:
Discuss financing options with patients and assist in the qualification process.
Administrative Accuracy:
Post surgical charges, deposits, and payments accurately.
Surgical & Clinical Coordination Scheduling:
Efficiently schedule surgeries working with hospitals, physicians, and patients.
Patient Instructions:
Provide comprehensive pre-op and post-op instructions to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Knowledge Base:
Master the ASPS information sheets and develop a critical understanding of procedures, associated risks, and recovery.
Relationship Management & Growth Client Retention:
Maintain working knowledge of each client's personal history (important dates, preferences) to foster productive relationships.
In-Practice Presence:
"Pop in" to say hello at post-op and follow-up appointments to simplify cross-selling and review solicitation.
Marketing & Reviews:
Solicit reviews, referrals, and photo gallery candidates; encourage appropriate patients to post online reviews.
Cross-Selling:
Introduce non-surgical services and skin care products. Qualifications Demonstrated track record in sales, specifically the ability to move prospects from initial inquiry to a financial commitment and scheduled procedure. Ability to develop deep rapport quickly, transitioning "leads" into long-term practice advocates through personalized follow-up and engagement. Mastery of verbal and written communication, with the ability to articulate the value of complex surgical/non-surgical procedures and address patient objections with empathy and confidence. Highly disciplined approach to lead management; proactive in following up with consultative leads to ensure a high conversion rate. Comfortable discussing surgical costs, navigating "pre-payment" functions, and facilitating financing to remove barriers to booking. A genuine interest in cosmetic surgery and aesthetics that translates into an enthusiastic, "high-energy" sales presentation. Self-motivated and goal-driven, with the ability to treat the surgical schedule as a business portfolio that requires active filling and retention. Team-first mentality and positive attitude. Strong history of personal accountability and professional integrity. Track record of employment stability and energy/enthusiasm. Professional appearance and demeanor. Experience with MS Office, Excel, email platforms, and Nextech (NT) Software. Education and Experience 2 or more years of medical sales experience strongly preferred. Part time Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays Office opens at 8:30 am.
