Counter Person needed for busy Wholesale Plumbing Supply

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Counter Person to join our dynamic team at a busy wholesale plumbing supply company. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, assisting clients with product selection, and ensuring smooth daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a comprehensive understanding of plumbing supplies and related construction or renovation projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in high-end sales, inside sales, and product merchandising within a fast-paced setting. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally, offering knowledgeable assistance on plumbing products, fixtures, and supplies. Assist customers with inside sales transactions using computer systems, including cash handling and retail math calculations. Upsell complementary products such as lighting fixtures, fittings, or maintenance supplies to maximize sales opportunities. Manage stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory organization to ensure product availability. Support account management by maintaining customer records and following up on special orders or large projects. Promote high-end sales by understanding customer needs for lighting design, remodeling, or renovation projects. Conduct product demos to educate clients on new items or advanced solutions. Assist in marketing efforts by organizing displays and ensuring the store environment is inviting and well-organized. Maintain excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients from diverse backgrounds, including multilingual support if applicable.
