Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Athlete Development Coach, where your passion for sports, fitness, and youth development will inspire the next generation of athletes! In this energetic role, you will design and deliver engaging training programs that foster skill development, teamwork, and confidence across a variety of sports and physical activities. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help athletes of all ages reach their full potential while promoting healthy lifestyles and positive behavior. Duties Develop tailored coaching plans that enhance athletic skills in sports such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (including karate, judo), swimming, and other physical activities. Lead engaging training sessions for groups of children and youth, ensuring activities are safe, inclusive, and fun. Implement effective behavior management strategies to foster discipline, respect, and teamwork among participants. Provide guidance on proper technique, safety protocols, and sportsmanship during all activities. Monitor athlete progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and program staff to communicate athlete development milestones and address individual needs. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health club or gym safety standards and supervising all activities closely. Skills Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education with a focus on youth development. Background in lifeguard duties or swimming instruction is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of martial arts disciplines such as karate or judo, along with experience in cheerleading or basketball coaching. Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents while managing diverse behavior patterns. Excellent communication skills to motivate participants and collaborate with team members. Familiarity with climbing activities or health club environments is a plus. Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote skill-building and confidence in young athletes.
