Job Description

Job Overview We are excited to announce an opening for a dynamic and driven Estimator / Sales Consultant who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. This role combines the art of precise cost estimation with the skill of building strong client relationships. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving project success by accurately estimating costs, preparing competitive proposals, and guiding clients through the sales process. Your expertise will help ensure projects are profitable, well-managed, and delivered on time, all while fostering lasting partnerships with clients and contractors. Duties Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scopes using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid software. Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop accurate pricing strategies that align with project budgets and goals. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights, ensuring estimates reflect real-world conditions and constraints. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable agreements that benefit all parties. Assist in project management tasks such as cost control, tracking project expenses, and managing change orders throughout the construction process. Develop comprehensive proposals that clearly communicate scope, costs, timelines, and value propositions to clients. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction estimating best practices, industry standards, and market trends to continuously improve accuracy and efficiency. Skills Strong negotiation skills to effectively discuss pricing and contract terms with clients and vendors. Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software for large-scale construction projects. Deep understanding of construction estimating principles, including cost analysis and quantity takeoffs. Knowledge of construction site operations, safety protocols, and project management methodologies. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. Familiarity with contracts, change management processes, and project documentation standards. Excellent communication skills to articulate complex estimates clearly and persuasively. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
