Job Description

Position Summary Policy Pulse Innovations is seeking an experienced, energetic Medicare Sales Trainer to develop, coach, and elevate the performance of our Medicare sales team. This position is ideal for a high-performing Medicare sales professional who enjoys teaching others, building repeatable training processes, and helping agents confidently deliver compliant, customer-focused sales conversations. The Medicare Sales Trainer will lead new-hire onboarding, facilitate ongoing product and sales-skills training, provide individual coaching, and partner with leadership to identify performance gaps and improve team results. While this role understands Medicare sales production, its primary focus is training, development, quality, and agent readiness. Key Responsibilities Lead engaging onboarding and training programs for newly hired Medicare sales agents. Train agents on Medicare products, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, Special Enrollment Periods, and eligibility basics. Teach compliant sales practices and reinforce CMS, carrier, HIPAA, and company requirements. Conduct live coaching sessions, role-playing exercises, call reviews, and knowledge checks. Develop and maintain training materials, presentations, scripts, objection-handling guides, job aids, and assessments. Coach agents on consultative selling, needs-based conversations, rapport building, listening skills, qualifying questions, enrollment processes, and closing techniques. Monitor agent performance, call quality, attendance, training completion, and sales-readiness benchmarks. Identify common agent knowledge gaps and create targeted refresher training to address them. Partner with sales leadership and quality assurance teams to improve conversion rates, compliance performance, customer experience, and agent retention. Support agents during nesting periods and provide real-time guidance as they transition into live sales activity. Keep training content current with carrier updates, annual enrollment changes, product changes, CMS guidance, and internal process updates. Maintain accurate training attendance, certification, assessment, and coaching documentation. Serve as a subject-matter resource for Medicare sales agents and team leaders. Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of Medicare sales experience, preferably in a call-center, brokerage, or high-volume inbound/outbound sales environment. Prior experience as a trainer, mentor, team lead, quality coach, or sales supervisor strongly preferred. Active health insurance license required, or the ability to obtain and maintain required licensing promptly. Strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D, enrollment periods, eligibility rules, and compliant sales practices. Demonstrated success meeting Medicare sales, quality, customer-service, and compliance expectations. Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills. Ability to explain complex Medicare information clearly, accurately, and in a way that is easy for new agents to understand. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training classes, coaching priorities, and deadlines. Comfortable reviewing calls, providing constructive feedback, and holding agents accountable to performance standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, learning platforms, and virtual training tools. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. What Success Looks Like A successful Medicare Sales Trainer will create a structured, supportive learning environment where agents feel prepared to have compliant, confident, and productive conversations with Medicare beneficiaries. This person will help reduce ramp-up time, strengthen agent retention, improve call quality, and build a sales team that consistently delivers a high-quality customer experience. Preferred Skills Experience training remote, hybrid, or call-center sales teams. Familiarity with CRM platforms, dialing systems, call-recording tools, and quality assurance scorecards. Experience creating training curricula, facilitator guides, assessments, and agent performance-improvement plans. Knowledge of Annual Enrollment Period, Open Enrollment Period, Special Enrollment Periods, and carrier certification requirements. Ability to motivate agents while maintaining high expectations for compliance and sales performance. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, licensing, training background, and Medicare sales knowledge. Eligible team members may also receive benefits such as paid training, paid time off, performance incentives, growth opportunities, and a collaborative team environment.
