Job Description

Position Summary Our employer is seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Broker with at least one year of experience in outbound sales, with logistics brokerage experience being a plus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building relationships with shippers and carriers, and coordinating freight movement while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through outbound cold calling, prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with shippers, carriers, and transportation partners
  • Negotiate freight rates with carriers and customers to maximize profitability
  • Manage the full freight cycle from pickup through delivery
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation issues or delays
  • Maintain accurate customer and load information in the transportation management system (TMS)
  • Develop and grow a book of business through consistent sales activity and relationship management
  • Collaborate with internal operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales and revenue goals
  • Stay informed on market trends, freight rates, and industry conditions Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of freight brokerage, logistics, transportation, or outbound sales experience
  • Proven success in outbound sales, cold calling, and business development
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation/logistics software
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing shipper or carrier relationships
  • Experience using CRM and TMS platforms
  • Knowledge of freight markets, carrier operations, and logistics terminology Compensation & Benefits
