Cradle-to-Grave Freight Broker - Atlanta, GA Company Overview - Elite Express is a national, asset-based freight carrier and logistics services provider with 25+ years of growth from a single-truck operation to a fleet of over 200 tractors and 400 dry/refrigerated trailers. About The Opportunity:
Elite Express is seeking Cradle-to-Grave freight brokers to scale its new Atlanta, GA freight brokerage division Capacity Solutions. This person will be responsible for managing the entire freight process from start to finish prospecting and securing new shippers, booking freight, negotiating rates, managing carrier relations, and ensuring successful delivery. We're looking for someone to help grow this market, develop new customers, and manage freight cradle-to-grave. This is a true full-desk opportunity for self-motivated logistics professionals who thrive on independence, ownership, and commission-driven success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain a book of business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and relationship development with shippers.
  • Negotiate Rates with both customers and carriers to ensure profitability and service excellence.
  • Manage shipments cradle-to-grave from quoting, booking, and dispatch to tracking and delivery confirmation.
  • Develop and manage carrier relationships ensuring reliable capacity and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor freight movement troubleshooting issue and communicating updates proactively to customers.
  • Maintain accurate, timely data in the TMS
  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly performance metrics (load count, margin goals, new customers, etc.)
  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and carrier network opportunities
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage
  • Proven ability to develop new business and manage the full sales cycle
  • Strong understanding of truckload markets, carrier pricing, and freight operations
  • Experience using TMS software (Aljex, McLeod, or similar)
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and driven to achieve results
