These positions play a critical role in driving revenue, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening customer relationships within assigned territories. The ideal candidate is a high-performing sales professional with a proven track record of territory growth, business development, and consultative selling. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building strategic partnerships, and is motivated by achieving measurable results. Outside Sales Managers are responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship-building while maintaining and expanding existing customer accounts. Working closely with operations, production, and distribution teams, this role helps ensure exceptional customer experiences while supporting the overall growth and profitability of the business. This is a field-based position requiring regular travel throughout the assigned territory, including up to 75% travel and occasional overnight stays based on business needs. Candidates with experience in building materials, construction products, wholesale distribution, or contractor-focused sales environments are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue within assigned territory Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and self-driven lead generation Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers Utilize CRM systems to manage pipeline activity, track performance, and maintain accurate records Identify market opportunities and support expansion initiatives Collaborate with internal teams (operations, production, distribution) to ensure customer satisfaction Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets Monitor market trends and competitor activity Requirements 3+ years of experience in outside sales, territory management, business development, or a related customer-facing sales role Proven track record of prospecting, generating leads, developing new business, and achieving or exceeding sales goals Experience managing a sales pipeline and utilizing CRM systems to track activity, opportunities, and customer relationships Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and effectively manage a territory with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities, develop strategic sales plans, and execute growth initiatives Results-driven mindset with a strong sense of accountability, urgency, and customer focus Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms Ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel as business needs require Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Experience in building materials, construction products, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or contractor-focused sales environments preferred Why Join Spectra Gutter Systems Our sales team plays a key role in driving growth and shaping the future of the business.
