Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Support specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role focuses on helping customers and internal teams through accurate order processing, timely communication, and dependable coordination across shipping and sales activities. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced support environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Process customer purchase requests in the order management system with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Examine incoming orders to confirm pricing, item information, quantities, and delivery details before submission.
  • Communicate order progress and status updates to customers, sales representatives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor shipments and work with carriers, warehouse personnel, and logistics contacts to address delivery exceptions.
  • Handle questions related to order fulfillment, backordered items, shipment timing, and expected delivery dates.
  • Partner with the sales team to support account needs and promote efficient completion of customer orders.
  • Maintain organized documentation for transactions, shipment activity, and customer interactions.
  • Investigate and help resolve order variances, transportation delays, and supporting paperwork issues.
  • Provide administrative assistance tied to sales operations and day-to-day customer support activities. Requirements
  • Experience in sales support, customer service, order administration, or a related business support role.
  • Working knowledge of order entry processes and post-sales support activities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers, sales teams, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing orders, pricing, shipping data, and documentation.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proficiency with standard business systems and tools used for order tracking and recordkeeping.
  • Background in inside sales, inbound sales, or outbound sales support is beneficial.
