Job Description
We are currently seeking to hire two designers who are looking for more than just a position—we are offering a long-term opportunity to grow into a leadership role within our company. Over the next 3-5 years, ownership plans to gradually transition out of the daily design responsibilities, client management, construction coordination, and product sourcing, allowing our new team to take the lead. This transition creates a unique opportunity for the right individuals to step into a more influential role—leading client relationships, managing projects from concept through completion, and helping guide the overall design direction of the company. We are looking for professionals who are motivated to take initiative, demonstrate leadership, and grow with the business while contributing to its continued success. Key Responsibilities Manage projects from initial client consultation through final installation Develop creative, functional kitchen and bath designs tailored to client needs Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service Conduct on-site measurements and ensure accuracy in all project specifications Create detailed drawings and renderings using 2020 Design software (or similar) Assist clients with material selections, including cabinetry, tile, countertops, paint, and finishes Prepare proposals, pricing, and sales presentations Coordinate with contractors, installers, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution Maintain organization and attention to detail across multiple active projects Meet or exceed sales goals while delivering a high-end client experience Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in kitchen and bath design and sales Strong proficiency in 2020 Design software (required) Experience with SketchUp or similar 3D modeling programs Excellent math, measuring, and spatial planning skills Strong understanding of cabinetry, materials, and construction processes Proven ability to manage projects independently from start to finish Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to balance design creativity with budget awareness Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment Preferred Skills Background or strong interest in interior design (tile, color palettes, finishes) Experience in a design-build or showroom environment Knowledge of current design trends and materials Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings CRM or project management software experience Compensation & Benefits Starting compensation includes a base salary plus commission, with commission structure based on years of experience and level of certification (not required) Competitive overall earning potential Profit sharing opportunities Medical insurance 401(k) retirement plan Opportunity to work on high-end, custom projects Supportive and collaborative team environment Clear path for professional growth and increased responsibility
