Job Description

This position is 100% performance based with high performers making up to $180-$220K. Experienced salesmen can earn 100% uncapped commission and truly own their own success, while entry level salesmen have the option to work for one year with an introductory salary plus commissions. This is an amazing sales opportunity with the largest basement waterproofing and foundation repair company in the Midwest serving eastern Iowa and western Illinois! If you are people focused, have a high attention to detail, understand basic construction principles, and have a self-driven attitude to help people, this is the role for you! A background in project management, real estate, construction, or building inspection is a plus, but not required. As an Outside Sales Representative for MidAmerica Basement Systems, you will consult homeowners at pre-scheduled appointments. Your goal? To diagnose issues they are experiencing with their home and provide the best solution for them. This is more than just a Sales Representative role though. We are currently hiring for our sales training starting May 2026! Responsibilities Drives to customer's homes on pre-scheduled appointments Builds professional rapport with customer and determines their desired outcomes Carefully examines the customer's home to provide an accurate diagnosis of the issue(s) Provides necessary recommendations to the customer that will resolve the issue(s) Provides estimate to the customer Completes the sale with the customer Follows up with the customer as needed Resolves any issues that may arise with the customer post-sale Attends and participates in the weekly sales meetings on-site at our office in Davenport Participates in ride-alongs from the Sales Manager and peers Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads Self generates leads Meets or exceeds sales goals and other key performance indicators (KPI) set by the company Provides a remarkable experience for homeowners and employees Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge of sales, marketing, and Customer Service principles 1+ years of experience in residential real estate, home inspection, or home improvement industries is a plus, but not required Knowledge of construction principles and practices preferred, but not required Ability to build great relationships Ability to run 1 appointment on Saturday Excellent listening, closing, and follow-up skills Ability to walk, kneel, and crawl A valid driver's license and a safe driving record Skill in operating computer software (we will train you) Being comfortable and confident with a performance based salary following a 6 week paid training period Ability to use measurement tools What We Would Provide You Best in class
