FIELD SALES REP II CHANNEL
As a Field Sales Rep II Channel, you achieve sales goals and deliver a personalized customer experience by executing the Customer Engagement Process and owning squad-agreed business objectives; you identify customer needs to develop account plans and sales forecasts; you create tailored integrated solutions and present clear value propositions to customers; you negotiate and close sales while providing hands-on support through order and delivery; you drive demand-generation activities to grow future sales and provide agronomic recommendations and customer-facing technical support to build long-term partnerships. This role will cover Carroll, Sac, Webster and Calhoun counties in NW IA #YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve assigned sales targets and deliver on squad-agreed business goals through proactive territory and account management;
- Develop and implement dealer and account business plans, manage forecasting and inventory to ensure product availability and demand fulfillment;
- Serve as the key business consultant to retailers, dealers, and top growers, articulating product value and demonstrating performance against competitors;
- Create and present customized integrated solutions and value propositions that address customer needs and drive adoption;
- Collaborate closely with squad members (FSRs, CBAs, TAs, DELs, TDRs) and cross-functional teams to maximize services and commercial impact;
- Use market and competitive data to inform decisions, prioritize opportunities, and adapt territory strategy;
- Execute program fulfillment (national/regional marketing initiatives) and manage area claims and problem resolution in line with Bayer policies;
- Travel frequently (~60%) for regular face-to-face customer engagement and territory coverage.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in sales, account management, or related commercial roles with strong territory results and customer-facing experience;
- Proven ability to develop account plans, manage forecasting, and influence buying decisions with dealers and growers;
- Strong agronomic or product knowledge relevant to crop protection and seed/traits, with the ability to communicate technical benefits clearly;
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities;
- Solid business acumen, account planning, influencing, and critical-thinking skills;
- Proficient user-level skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and comfortable using digital tools and data to inform decisions;
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently and work in a rural environment;
- Position requires driving for the company that may fall under
DOT/FMCSA
jurisdiction, which may include hauling trailers, products, supplies, or equipment safely.Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, and 3+ years of relevant sales, marketing, or agricultural experience, or equivalent experience (e.g., other education plus 7+ years);
- Experience managing high-value territory sales ($10-25M range) and handling discretionary budgets and expense management. Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $72,000.00
- $108,000.
