We partner directly with professional deck builders, general contractors, lumber yards, and commercial distributors across the Pacific Northwest to supply reliable, high-end railing systems. Role Overview We are seeking an energetic, metrics-driven B2B Outbound Sales Specialist to expand our contractor and dealer network. In this role, you will split your time between driving targeted outbound outreach from our Hayden office and occasionally traveling to meet with pro desks, lumber yards, job-site decision-makers, and trade shows . You will own the complete B2B sales cycle—from prospecting and technical product demonstrations to account onboarding and recurring re-order management.
Key Responsibilities Outbound Business Development:
Prospect, cold-call, and qualify regional general contractors, custom deck builders, and commercial installers to build a consistent pipeline.
Dealer & Lumber Yard Engagement:
Visit regional lumber yards and distributor pro desks to run product demonstrations, train retail sales staff on Maisy Railing systems, and establish recurring order accounts.
Account Retention & Expansion:
Build and manage a book of contractor accounts, tracking build schedules and material re-orders to maximize lifetime account value and account retention.
Technical Solution Sales:
Review deck plans and take-offs with builders to calculate hardware requirements, recommend compatible post/cable configurations, and deliver accurate project quotes.
Territory & CRM Tracking:
Accurately log all client communications, field visits, active quotes, and pipeline stages in our CRM to support sales forecasting and territory planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with operations and fulfillment teams to verify local inventory availability, lead times, and timely job-site deliveries. Qualifications 2+ years of B2B outbound sales or direct account management experience (experience in building materials, construction supplies, commercial hardware, or wholesale distribution strongly preferred). Demonstrated success in cold prospecting, conducting in-person product pitches, and closing recurring accounts. Ability to understand architectural layouts, read basic deck framing plans, or learn technical hardware specifications quickly. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills; comfortable speaking with lumber yard managers, business owners, and field contractors alike. Valid driver's license and clean driving record for regular local travel across the territory. High school diploma or equivalent required; practical sales achievement prioritized over formal degrees. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a strong plus.
