SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
Butte Fence is seeking to fill an Outside Sales position to join our local team in Twin Falls, ID! This person will be responsible for ensuring the success of fencing projects through selling fencing throughout the valley to private homeowners and commercial developers. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be the face of our company to our clients, delivering exceptional service and promoting our products or services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
(Position may include additional functions not listed.)• Responsible for completing in a timely fashion and with maximum profit margins, all assigned outside sales calls, responding with Profitable written and verbal estimates in a timely manner, maintaining an accurate customer data base, producing ideas for new customer leads and responding to those new leads and enhancing the image of Butte Fence, Inc. Possess the technical knowledge to answer all questions pertaining to fencing products and fence installations. Act as an advisor and consultant for the customer and be able to answer all questions and make suggestions about all of their fencing needs. Achieves preset sales goals for volume of sales as well as profitability of sales. Responds quickly to job estimate calls and produces profitable sales on a consistent basis. Attends all required job and sales training classes, performs his/her own scheduling, establishing goals and standards of evaluations. Consistently maintains all sales quotas, margins and coordinates all job scheduling between the customer, the Sales Department and crews. Submits bid requests, estimates, paperwork quickly and is responsive to customer follow up including on-site inspections whenever necessary. Maintains an appearance appropriate for the position and situation. Responsible for ensuring the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of any vehicles, machinery or equipment assigned to them that is owned, leased, or otherwise under the control of Butte Fence. Ensures that all government and company requirements relating to safety, health, and environment on your jobs are strictly adhered to and enforced. All accidents are reported. Workdays will be from 8 to 10 hours per day and could include some early mornings, late evenings, and at least every other Saturday. This is a highly visible positions and the job requires that the company remain in the forefront of the fence installation industry.
Tech Proficiency:
Demonstrate expertise in utilizing the Monday operations system for efficient team collaborations, project management, and communication. Utilize ArcSight drawing programs to create visually compelling estimates and presentations for clients. Leverage iPads and other mobile technology for on-the-go work, presentations, and customer interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
(Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.) Requires High School diploma with (3) three years construction (sales) experience. Prefers at least (5) five years' experience with Fence Installation and area construction related experience. Excellent customer service skills. Strong negotiating skills. Self-Driven and Independent. Must be able to handle problems of a technical nature about fencing, fence installation and related items. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as basic math skills. Must be a natural leader who can inspire employees to superior performance. Must be a highly organized person who can monitor numerous projects at once and who can prioritize the workloads of reporting employees. Prefers previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures.
PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
(physical, environmental, travel, etc.) The physical requirements are only moderately stressful and part of the time will be spent sitting. Walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers and the ability to lift thirty (30) pounds is required. Will work occasionally in a climate controlled, non-smoking, enclosed office but will work primarily in the field with extensive local travel. The normal auto hazards will apply. There will be a considerable amount of travel in all types of weather that could include heavy rain and below freezing temperatures with snow conditions.
