Job Description

Precision Exteriors Inc. (PEI Construction) is seeking a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Sales Representative to help homeowners plan and complete exterior and interior construction projects. This position involves meeting with homeowners, inspecting properties, identifying project needs, presenting appropriate solutions, preparing accurate estimates, and guiding customers from the initial appointment through the signed contract and project handoff. Our projects may include roofing, siding, gutters, windows, decks, storm-damage restoration, interior remodeling, repairs, and other residential construction services. The ideal candidate is comfortable meeting new people, explaining construction options clearly, following up consistently, and building long-term relationships within the communities we serve. Previous construction or sales experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who is motivated, organized, professional, and willing to learn. Responsibilities Respond promptly to company-provided leads and schedule appointments with homeowners. Generate additional opportunities through referrals, networking, community involvement, canvassing, and other approved sales activities. Meet with customers to discuss their concerns, project goals, budget, timeline, and product preferences. Inspect residential properties for visible damage, wear, installation concerns, and potential improvement opportunities. Evaluate interior and exterior construction needs, including roofing, siding, gutters, windows, decks, remodeling, repairs, and storm-related damage. Take accurate measurements, photographs, notes, and other documentation needed to prepare estimates. Review construction options, product selections, warranties, financing opportunities, and the company's installation process with customers. Prepare and present clear, accurate estimates and proposals based on the approved project scope. Explain contracts, payment requirements, customer responsibilities, exclusions, and warranty terms before obtaining signatures. Maintain regular follow-up with prospective customers who have not yet made a decision. Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the sales process and set realistic expectations regarding scheduling, insurance, materials, and construction. Assist customers with storm-damage and insurance-related projects while avoiding promises regarding claim approval or coverage. Meet with insurance adjusters when assigned and provide accurate project documentation to support the approved scope of work. Identify missing items, scope discrepancies, or additional work and communicate them to the appropriate office or production personnel. Enter complete and accurate customer information, notes, photographs, appointments, estimates, selections, and communication records into the company CRM. Keep assigned leads, tasks, follow-ups, and sales opportunities current within the CRM. Collect required contract documents, deposits, financing information, selections, and other paperwork before turning projects over to production. Complete a thorough project handoff so the production team has the information necessary to complete the work correctly. Communicate with project managers, production staff, office personnel, suppliers, and company leadership when project questions arise. Attend sales meetings, product training, manufacturer training, and company development sessions. Maintain professional conduct, appearance, and communication while representing PEI Construction. Follow all company policies regarding pricing, discounts, contracts, change orders, financing, insurance claims, and customer commitments. Qualifications Previous experience in construction sales, home improvement sales, insurance restoration, remodeling, or a related field is preferred. General knowledge of roofing, siding, gutters, windows, decks, remodeling, or residential construction is beneficial. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to explain construction products and processes in a way homeowners can easily understand. Comfortable speaking with customers in their homes and conducting exterior property inspections. Strong organization, time-management, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple leads, appointments, estimates, and active customers at the same time. Comfortable using CRM systems, email, text messaging, mobile applications, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office. Ability to take accurate measurements, photographs, and project notes. Willingness to learn construction products, installation requirements, warranties, financing programs, and company procedures. Self-motivated and able to work independently while remaining accountable to sales goals and company expectations. Honest, dependable, coachable, and professional. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to customer appointments and jobsites. Ability to safely use a ladder and perform residential roof inspections when trained and authorized. What Success Looks Like A successful Sales Representative at
