This position involves assisting customers with firearm and accessory purchases, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting firearms, ammunition, optics, accessories, and related products. Provide knowledgeable product information and recommendations based on customer needs and experience levels. Complete firearm transactions in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct and process background checks and required paperwork accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment. Receive, stock, and inventory merchandise. Assist with firearm transfers and special orders. Stay informed on new products, industry trends, and applicable regulations. Promote a safe and welcoming environment for all customers. Support store operations and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred. Firearms industry experience is a plus but not required. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to learn and understand firearms, accessories, and related products. Attention to detail and ability to follow compliance procedures. Reliable, professional, and team-oriented. Must be able to pass all applicable background checks and legally possess firearms. Must be at least 21 years of age. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with ATF regulations and firearm transfer procedures. IL FOID Card and/or Concealed Carry License (CCL) holder. Experience in shooting sports, hunting, competitive shooting, military, or law enforcement. Experience with point-of-sale and inventory management systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely handle firearms in accordance with company policies and procedures.
