Primary Responsibilities The KeHE Connect Direct (KCD) Sales Specialist is responsible for identifying, establishing, and building business in current, new and emerging markets. Additionally, this role will serve as a critical first point of contact for customers, guiding them through a seamless onboarding experience while building trust and driving long-term engagement. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail, sound decision-making skills, and a relentless, fanatical commitment to the customer. This role will have a unique ability to influence strategy and drive impact in a growing sector of KeHE. DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the end-to-end onboarding journey for new online customers, ensuring a smooth, personalized experience that accelerates time-to-value and sets the foundation for lasting relationships. Qualify and nurture inbound leads through timely, consistent follow-up across digital channels, converting prospects into active, engaged buyers. Serve as the central point of coordination between customers and internal teams — including Marketing, Operations, and Fulfillment — to resolve onboarding friction quickly and efficiently. Leverage KeHE legacy platforms, customer data, and sales tools to track onboarding progress, identify drop-off risks, and trigger timely interventions that keep customers moving forward and drive meaningful and relevant growth to the business. Educate and excite new customers on products, promotions, and platform features through digital touchpoints including email, video chat, and self-service resources. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Fulfillment teams to ensure new customers experience accurate, on-time delivery and a reliable first impression of the brand. Analyze onboarding performance metrics and customer feedback to continuously refine processes, improve activation rates, and surface growth opportunities within the existing customer base. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Natural, specialty and or fresh product knowledge with the ability to recognize brands and trends. Demonstrate skill and competence with all Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel. Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail. Strong project management and organizational skills. Proven track record of using data to drive decision making and results. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced business environment. Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals and contribute to a collaborative work environment- must be a team player. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of internal teams and external stakeholders.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Supply Chain, or Marketing. Minimum one to three years of sales experience required. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Experience with retail merchandising, grocery category management, the consumer package goods industry, and/or the grocery industry are a plus. Experience with Microsoft Power BI a plus.
