Who We Are We keep growing because we work hard to hire great people, develop them, and give them opportunities to succeed. We've been serving homeowners across Central Illinois since 1976, and you've probably seen our trucks and advertising throughout the area. What you may not know is what it's like to work here. We expect a high standard, invest heavily in training and development, and recognize people who take ownership and produce results. People often come to us looking for a job and stay because they find a career with room to grow, earn more, and take on greater responsibility. What We Do We are a team of home service professionals providing plumbing, heating, and air conditioning solutions to homeowners throughout Central Illinois. The Role This is not a traditional call-center position. We're looking for an experienced salesperson who can take an established pipeline of opportunities and turn more of them into revenue. Your initial focus will be following up with homeowners who have already received estimates or discussed potential work with our team. You'll stay engaged with those homeowners, understand what may be preventing them from moving forward, answer questions, discuss financing and available options, and help turn existing opportunities into sold and completed work. This position is also designed as a development path into outside sales. As you learn our business and demonstrate results, you'll begin running selected in-home sales opportunities and can eventually progress toward running the full range of Comfort Advisor calls throughout our service territories. What You'll Do Follow up with homeowners on unsold HVAC and plumbing estimates. Manage an active sales pipeline through outbound phone calls, text messages, and email. Build relationships with homeowners rather than relying on one-time follow-up attempts. Understand homeowner concerns and identify what is preventing an opportunity from moving forward. Answer questions and help homeowners understand available solutions. Discuss financing and payment options when appropriate. Schedule appointments and reconnect homeowners with the appropriate advisor or team member. Maintain accurate notes, follow-up dates, dispositions, and opportunities in ServiceTitan. Track and report follow-up activity, sales results, and pipeline performance. Coordinate with Comfort Advisors, technicians, dispatch, and management to make sure opportunities do not fall through the cracks. Run selected in-home sales appointments as your training and development progress. Run outside sales leads throughout our service territories when business needs require it. What We're Looking For This position requires someone who is comfortable selling, following up consistently, and asking for the business. You may be a good fit if you: Have previous sales experience. Communicate confidently over the phone and in person. Can build trust quickly and ask good questions. Are comfortable discussing price, financing, and purchasing decisions. Understand that effective follow-up often requires multiple contacts rather than one phone call. Stay organized and can manage a large pipeline without losing track of opportunities. Are comfortable being measured by activity, conversion, and revenue results. Are coachable and willing to follow a defined sales process. Can work independently while remaining accountable to the team. Want an opportunity to grow into a larger outside-sales role. Have a valid driver's license and are able to travel throughout our service territories as the outside-sales portion of the role develops. HVAC or plumbing industry experience is not required. Previous industry experience may be beneficial, but we are primarily looking for someone with strong sales ability, communication skills, follow-through, and the ability to learn our business and sales process. How the Role Develops The initial focus will be inside sales and unsold-estimate follow-up . You'll learn our services, sales process, financing options, ServiceTitan workflow, and how our technicians and advisors identify opportunities in the home. As you demonstrate proficiency and results, you'll begin training on selected outside-sales opportunities. The long-term goal is to develop someone who can effectively work both sides of the sales process: managing inside-sales opportunities and running in-home Comfort Advisor calls based on the needs of the business and individual performance. Compensation & Benefits Base salary 5% commission on sold and collected revenue Paid weekly Paid time off Health insurance 401(k) Ongoing sales and industry training Advancement into outside sales based on development and performance What Success Looks Like Success in this role is not simply completing follow-up activity. We expect this person to consistently work the sales pipeline, create meaningful homeowner conversations, uncover what is preventing opportunities from moving forward, and convert existing opportunities into revenue. You'll be expected to maintain an organized pipeline, follow the defined sales process, remain accountable to activity and conversion results, and continually improve your performance. Long term, success means developing into a trusted Comfort Advisor who can produce results both through inside sales and in-home sales opportunities. Ready to Take the Next Step?
