Standard Internship $ Paid $1,000.00 Stipend Part Time Description Through its network of over 125 park agencies, the Indiana Park and Recreation Association (IPRA) represents parks and recreation throughout Indiana and supports the local agencies and organizations who build and manage these important public places. IPRA's membership of park and recreation professionals and advocates is over 1,400 strong and represents public spaces in urban communities, rural settings, and everything in between. IPRA is dedicated to educating professionals on the essential nature of parks and recreation. Through its programs, IPRA provides park and rec professionals with resources necessary to meet the needs of communities across Indiana. The 2026 Summer internship will start May (Summer) and run until July 2026 or August (Fall) and run until December 2026 and is eligible for a $1,000 up to $1500 stipend upon completion (dependent upon hours worked) . Responsibilities IPRA is looking for interns who can focus on one or more of the following areas: business management, research, development, event planning and marketing. Under the supervision the IPRA Executive Director and staff, interns will provide assistance in the following areas: interacting with IPRA key stakeholders including members, community partners, sponsors, donors and board members, conducting research, planning events, creating and updating marketing materials, writing/editing, and providing general support to the development and marketing departments. Responsibilities Event Planning Assist with creation and implementation of professional development and networking events Assist with the planning and execution of the district meetings, Trivia Night and IPRA Annual Conference and Expo Marketing Assist with digital marketing calendar including development of emails and webpages Assist with marketing database Assist with membership recruitment Assist with production of magazine and publications Create blog posts to share in weekly newsletter and social media sites Development Assist with fundraising events, development campaigns and outreach Conduct prospect and donor research Writing/communications projects Provide support to IPRA vendors and sponsors Other duties as assigned (on an as needed basis) Answering phones and email inquiries Taking minutes at meetings General office duties Qualifications Applicants should have an interest in non-profit management, marketing, and/or business. Digital marketing design and the ability to manage our website are required. Training on how to manage the IPRA website and database will be provided. This position also requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a small office and provide excellent customer service to IPRA members and the community. Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 3 days and up to a maximum of 5 days per week between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday-Friday in our Noblesville office.
