The Specialist works with external customers and internal team members to help properly select and apply company represented products, prepare quotations, troubleshoot issues, and help move projects from opportunity or inquiry to order. The Specialist plays a key role supporting the sales team by serving as the knowledgeable point of contact on quotations and projects thereby empowering sales representatives to focus on developing and strengthening customer relationships, and closing deals. A closer look at the role… Take ownership of assigned quotations, projects, and customer issues from initial request through resolution performing with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, attention to detail and professionalism Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to obtain information necessary to accurately complete quotations and projects, including but not limited to consulting engineers throughout the design and bidding process by providing product selections, submittals, schedules, and specifications Partner closely with sales team partners to ensure customer needs are addressed quickly and effectively Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quotations, projects, pricing, and customer communications, including but not limited to maintaining the job quote log within the CRM software, tracking orders, and confirming deliveries Prioritize multiple requests and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on exceptional customer service and sales support Identify opportunities to improve quoting processes, communication, and overall customer experience Read and interpret mechanical construction plans and specifications to identify company products for sales Become proficient in company business systems, applications, and equipment quotation and selection programs Assist customers with technical issues and system problems Attend internal and external systems/product training as required, which may include car or air travel with overnight stays Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, vendors, and internal team members Skills that contribute to success in this role… Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, customer-focused approach Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills Ability to build positive working relationships Previous experience in sales support, quoting, customer service, inside sales, or a similar role preferred Experience working with pricing, proposals, estimates, or ordering preferred Possess technical proficiency or willingness and ability to acquire The Company provides competitive pay, excellent benefits including medical insurance with a substantial reimbursement plan, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, generous paid time off, and retirement plan with discretionary company contribution.
