This is not a retail counter position, and it is not a basic order-taking job. This is a relationship-driven sales role focused on helping automotive shops, diesel repair businesses, performance shops, and resellers find the right parts and solutions for their customers. Diesel parts knowledge is a plus, but we know this is a specialized industry. What matters most is that you can sell, communicate well, build trust, and create long-term customer relationships. We can teach the products. We are looking for someone with the personality, drive, and sales ability to grow accounts. About the Role Our Wholesale team works with business customers who rely on us for diesel engine parts, performance products, replacement components, and complete solutions. The right person for this role will be comfortable on the phone, confident starting conversations, and motivated by growing customer relationships over time. This position is ideal for someone with strong sales experience who enjoys helping customers, asking the right questions, and earning repeat business. What You'll Do Build, maintain, and grow relationships with wholesale customers Handle inbound and outbound sales conversations by phone and email Help customers identify the right parts for diesel engine and automotive applications Learn product lines, applications, and best practices through ongoing training Recommend complete solutions instead of simply quoting part numbers Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities that genuinely help the customer Follow up with existing accounts to grow repeat business Work with internal teams to support order accuracy, fulfillment, and customer satisfaction Develop trust with customers by being helpful, knowledgeable, and reliable This role requires someone who understands that great sales is not just taking an order. It is consultative. If a customer is replacing one component, you should be thinking through what else they may need to complete the job correctly, prevent future issues, and protect the customer's build. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with a strong sales personality first. Diesel and automotive knowledge is preferred, but not required if you have the right sales background and willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven sales experience Strong communication skills, especially by phone An outgoing, confident, and professional personality The ability to build trust with customers A competitive mindset and desire to grow accounts Strong follow-up habits Good organization and attention to detail The ability to learn technical product information A coachable attitude Comfort using Windows, email, internet systems, and Microsoft Office Diesel truck, automotive, or parts experience is a plus Who This Job Is a Good Fit For This position may be a strong fit if you have experience in: Inside sales B2B sales Automotive sales Parts sales Equipment sales Phone-based sales Account management Customer relationship sales Service writing or shop support Performance automotive or diesel-related industries You do not need to know every diesel part on day one.
