The Community Outreach Representative serves as a key representative of the Business Development Department, acting as a liaison between branch locations and the surrounding community. It is a field-based role with designated branch assignments, requiring mobility and strong interpersonal skills. This individual possesses the knowledge and capabilities of a Financial Service Representative (FSR), enabling confident responses to member inquiries and assistance with account openings while working in the field. This role is essential in fostering relationships, promoting financial services, and ensuring a seamless experience for members across various branch environments. This role assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and development of the organization. The duties and responsibilities of a Community Outreach Representative include, but are not limited to: Engaging actively both within the branch and externally at community and business events. Representing the organization at Chamber of Commerce functions, business association meetings, business development tabling events, and new member orientations within their designated regions. Fostering collaborative partnerships across all levels of leadership, including Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and cross-functional teams to drive alignment on Business Development initiatives and Credit Union strategic objectives. Serving as a trusted liaison and strategic advisor, leveraging data insights and market trends to inform outreach efforts and optimize regional performance. Planning and executing community engagement activities in collaboration with the Business Development Manager, Branch Managers, and Regional Managers to ensure strategic representation of Commonwealth Credit Union. This includes working closely with the Business Development group to identify, pursue, and convert leads that align with sales goals. Enhancing expertise by actively pursuing development opportunities, including but not limited to, attending conferences, acquiring certifications, completing learning courses internally and through other relevant platforms, or engaging in both internal and external leadership programs. This is a field position with branch assignments. This position is active in nature. It requires the lifting and/or carrying of materials, displays, and other objects (no more than 30 lbs.). Work locations will vary between an office setting and off-site events, which could be located outdoors. A certain degree of walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling will be necessary, especially during Business Development events. Availability to work at events scheduled for after hours and on weekends is a requirement of this role. Flexibility is essential, as support may occasionally be required in other regions based on organizational needs. High School or GED or better.
