  • Full-time As Inside Sales Assistant , you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all daily inside sales activities .
This includes ensuring effective communication and coordination between internal departments and external customers. All sales activities, leads, and project updates must be accurately entered and maintained in our CRM system (Zoho) , providing up-to-date visibility on project progress, including win/loss status and customer engagement outcomes. You will collaborate closely with other Inside Sales team members, the Outside Sales team, Estimating, Project Management, and the Executive Team to strengthen communication, enhance customer relationships, and support the company's growth objectives. Your role is essential in ensuring that Southland delivers consistent, professional, and customer-focused experience to all key and targeted clients. Key Responsibilities Support all daily inside sales operations and activities. Input and maintain all leads, opportunities, and project updates in Zoho CRM . Track project status, including win/loss outcomes , and ensure accurate data reporting. Identify new potential customers by market segment to expand sales opportunities. Research and track new projects using Industrial Information Resources (IIR) . Conduct bi-weekly meetings with Estimating, Operations, and Executive Teams to review the pipeline, account progress, and introduction packages sent out. Support and coordinate with Outside Sales , Estimating , Project Management , and Executive Leadership to align sales efforts and customer communication. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, prepare quotes, and follow up on proposals. Develop and maintain relationships with key and targeted customers to strengthen retention and growth. Monitor sales performance metrics and assist in identifying new business opportunities. Contribute to process improvements that enhance sales efficiency and communication flow. Represent Southland Steel Fabricators and Southland Industrial Coatings professionally in all internal and external interactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred). 1-3+ years of experience in sales. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred). 3-5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a management role. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
