position. What does an Outside Sales Representative Do As an Outside Sales Representative, you will serve as a trusted advisor to homeowners, builders, contractors, and business owners by helping them find the right garage door solutions. Key Responsibilities of an Outside Sales Representative
  • Follow up on incoming leads and customer inquiries (warm sales leads generated through generous advertising budget)
  • Meet with prospective customers on-site to assess needs, take measurements, and prepare quotations
  • Present solutions and professionally manage the sales process
  • Follow up on proposals and convert opportunities into sales orders
  • Develop new business through cold calling, networking, and visits to builders and new construction sites
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships

Outside Sales Representative Position Will Have:
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in construction, building products, home improvement, or a related industry
  • Strong computer skills and comfort using technology
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • A positive, professional, and self-motivated attitude
  • The ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively
  • Technical aptitude, including the ability to read a tape measure and discuss dimensions with customers
